Good Morning Y’all.
I hope that you are having a great day!
Mine is cat poop. Seriously. So, I figured that I would look at pretty
things to make me feel better.
Unfortunately, looking at pretty things generally leads to new projects
for the house. Natch.
Here is my house.
She is in desperate need of help. And I keep thinking that help needs to begin
with paint. Now, stop gasping. Everyone freaks out when you mention painting
brick or wood. Let’s look at some
inspiration images, shall we?
See, that wasn’t so scary, was it? Granted, I realize these houses are much grander than mine. I was just too lazy to look for pictures of dumb houses like mine.
And...Back by popular demand is my mad photoshop skills. Let’s see what she would look like with a
little makeup on.
Better, I think. What
do you think? Do you think I’d be crazy
to paint my brick? Do you think I ought
to finish unpacking the inside first?
Yeah, me too. But a girl can
dream.
xoxo K
I think it would be pretty white with black shutters. You have a beautiful home and to put it in perspective that would be at least 2 million where I live. We've got a ways before home ownership. I did some daydreaming as well on my blog today. Great minds think alike.
ReplyDeleteI did a whole post about how I would paint a brick house in a NY min. My house isn't brick, but they are popular in Florida. Jealous of the photoshop skills.
ReplyDeleteAt least you know how to use Photoshop. I can open it, and that's about it. :) Love the idea of the painted brick! And my day is cat poop too - misery loves company. :) Hope it gets better!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your cruddy day, but I love the painted brick idea! Go for it!
ReplyDeletePaint that brick! I painted my little brick 70's Frenchie and it made a world of difference. Do it.
ReplyDeleteThink about whitewashing the brick. We put water in latex paint about 25 years ago and it still looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding...I love my painted brick house. Do it. You won't be sorry.
ReplyDeletePaint it and forget about cat poop!
ReplyDeletePaint it. Have you seen this post over at Peppermint Bliss? It will convince you 100% that painting is the way to go.

PAINT! love the cream with the taupe-y (is that a word?) shutters you did in the photoshopped pic! Looks fab. You're not crazy at all. And I mean, if Bobby McAlpine does it....
